Chocolate spoons

these chocolate-covered spoons make delightful holiday gifts. they are so wonderful to have at home, too. use them to stir a little chocolate into your coffee, or strengthen your hot chocolate. you will need 20 to 24 plastic spoons for this recipe.

ingredients:
1 cup semisweet chocolate chips
3/4 cup and 1 teaspoon milk chocolate chips
directions:
1. in a microwave safe bowl, melt semisweet chocolate pieces in microwave for 2 to 3 minutes and stir until smooth. dip spoons into chocolate. put spoons onto wax paper and refrigerate until chocolate hardens.
2. melt milk chocolate pieces in microwave for 2 to 3 minutes and stir until smooth. place chocolate into plastic bag and cut off a corner. drizzle melted chocolate over spoons. refrigerate until chocolate hardens.
3. wrap each spoon separately and store in a cool dry place,

1 2/3 cups (11-ounce package) nestlé® toll house® butterscotch flavored morsels
4 cups toasted rice cereal
2 cups (11.5-ounce package) nestlé® toll house® milk chocolate morsels, divided
grease 13 x 9-inch baking pan.
microwave butterscotch morsels in large, microwave-safe bowl on
medium-high (70%) power for 1 minute; stir. microwave at additional
10- to 20-second intervals, stirring until smooth. stir in cereal
and 1 cup milk chocolate morsels. press evenly into prepared
baking pan.
microwave remaining milk chocolate morsels in small, microwave-safe
bowl on medium-high (70%) power for 1 minute; stir. microwave at
additional 10 to 20 second intervals, stirring until smooth. spread
evenly over mixture in pan. refrigerate until firm. cut into bars.
makes 24 bars

crunchy mallow candy
1 pkg. (12 oz.) bakers semi-sweet real chocolate chips
1 cup crunchy peanut butter
4 cups miniature marshmallows
microwave chips and peanut butter in large microwavable
bowl on medium (50%) 2 to 3 minutes or until chocolate
is almost melted, stirring after each minute. stir until
chocolate is melted. gently stir in marshmallows.
drop by teaspoonfuls onto wax paper. refrigerate until firm.

truffle treats
prep: 10 mins ready in: 1hr 10 mins
1 pkg. (8 squares) bakers semi-sweet baking chocolate
1/2 cup peanut butter
1 tub (8 oz.) cool whip extra creamy whipped topping , thawed
unsweetened cocoa, chopped nuts, multi-colored candies, bakers angel flake coconut
microwave chocolate in microwavable bowl on high 2 to 3 minutes or
until chocolate is almost melted, stirring halfway through heating
time. stir until chocolate is completely melted.
mix in peanut butter until smooth. cool to room temperature. gently
stir in whipped topping. refrigerate 1 hour.
roll mixture into 1-inch balls. coat with cocoa, nuts, multi-colored
candies or coconut.
makes 35 to 40
great substitute: prepare as directed, substituting 8 squares
bakers premium white baking chocolate for semi-sweet baking chocolate.
